Date of event:   20/03/2022 − 20/03/2022

Title: 10th Forum for East Asian Art History in German-speaking Countries
Deadline for submission: 20 March 2022
Duration: 17-18 June 2022 (Fri-Sat)
Organized by: University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland

The Forum offers doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and junior faculty members, whose research focuses on the history of art and archaeology of East Asia, or related fields, a venue for presenting their individual projects and discussing methodological and institutional perspectives specific to their field. Organizers warmly encourage proposals on ongoing dissertation and research projects, as well as completed graduate theses (M.A.). Proposals for thematic panels with three to four speakers are also welcome. The program will also include a section with state of the field presentations and an introduction to the co-organizing institutes.

To apply for a twenty-minute presentation, please submit an abstract of 300 words and a short CV (max. 1 page) in German or English. Panel proposals are also welcome and should include abstracts and CVs of individual speakers in addition to a short abstract for the panel. Please submit your applications by March 20, 2022, to Ms. Isabelle Leemann (isabelle.leemann@khist.uzh.ch).

Organizers may be able to offer a modest financial subsidy for travel or accommodation for speakers traveling to Zurich. More information will be announced later. Since organizers cannot provide full financial assistance for travel and accommodation, they ask participants to secure funding from other sources.

For questions, please contact Isabelle Leemann (isabelle.leemann@khist.uzh.ch).
