The 24th Biennial Conference of the European Association for Chinese Studies (EACS) will be held in Olomouc, Czech Republic from August 24 to August 27, 2022. It is jointly organized by the EACS and the Department of Asian Studies at Palacký University Olomouc.
Scholars of Chinese Studies from Europe and beyond are invited to submit their proposals for contributions in one of the following categories:

- History (Modern)
- History (Pre-modern)
- Science and Technology
- Language & Linguistics
- Law & Human Rights

- Music & Performing Arts
- Philosophy & History of Thought
- Religion
- Politics
- Sinophone World
- Sociology & Anthropology
- Interdisciplinary Field
The board accepts proposals in the following formats:
1. Panel proposals – max. 250 words, including the name of the panel organizer, chair, participants and optionally a discussant; 3–4 paper abstracts with max. 250 words per abstract
2. Individual paper proposals – max. 250 words
3. Alternative formats – max. 250 words, please include the name of the organizer, all the participants and specify the format (e.g. workshops, film screenings)
The proposals should be submitted in the form of abstracts by January 15, 2022 via Easychair. Please refer to the conference website eacs.upol.cz for further information on the conference and proposal submission. Questions can be addressed to eacs@upol.cz.
