The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) is a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of the field of Asian Studies through international exchange, networking, publications, research support, and career development.
The Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference, held each spring in North America, is the largest gathering in the world of Asian studies scholars. The AAS annual conference brings together over 3300 attendees and includes hundreds of sessions, a keynote address, an award ceremony, multiple networking receptions, and an exhibit hall that features the leading publishers, academic programs and digital resources.
The AAS2023 Annual Conference will have both an in-person and virtual component. The virtual component will take place online February 17-18. The in-person conference will take place March 16-19 in Boston at the Hynes Convention Center and the Boston Sheraton hotel. Sessions and special events will be scheduled for both components. Attendees registered to attend the conference in Boston will also have access to the virtual component.
