Why is Buddhism so popular? What do we associate with concepts such as karma, samsara and Nirvana? And what form does Buddhist spiritual practice take on? How does Buddhism with its asceticism deal with its own commercialization? The exhibition explores such questions and, at the same time, reveals the multivocality of Buddhism. Based on the museum’s own collections, the show informs about Buddhist teachings, practices, and forms of representation.
